Silverchair had effectively, although not officially broken up and apart from a one off performance at Wave Aid in January this year had been out of the spotlight for close to three years.
The band has confirmed that they are writing new material again in regional New South Wales and plan on recording an album and “doing a few shows” in 2006.
During the break singer/guitarist Daniel Johns formed The Dissociatives with Paul Mac and drummer Ben Gilles formed Tambalane and independently released a small, but well praised album.
Stay tuned to Undercover for more details about Silverchair’s resurgence into the mainstream.
