They came from Outer Space, Ladies and Germs, please welcome: THE SLIMEY THINGS!!!
Slimey Things
INTERGALACTIC PROFILE: THE SLIMEY THINGS
SLIMEY THINGS, Australia’s most amazing sci-fi pop band, were first sighted in the venues of Sydney’s underground in 2001. This sextet of pseudo-pop psychos have a reputation for their infectious music and memorable, “seared into your brain” live performances.
Their unearthly sound is and energetic blend of catchy pop, futuristic 80s rock, sci-fi movie soundtrack music and zany cartoon sound effects.
Unearthed by enigmatic front man and composer Nick Soole, SLIMEY THINGS have received much acclaim as one of the most unique and important acts to emerge from Sydney.
With widespread radio airplay and their new SPACETOAST EP now available, it seems only a matter of time before the catchy rhythms of SLIMEY THINGS cannot be contained and breach Earth’s puny defenses.
SLIMEY THINGS ARE:
Nick Soole - Composer/ Voice/ Electric Guitar
Andrew Mortensen - Electric Bass/ Voice
Matt D. Ward - Drums
Ian Pieterse - Alto and Baritone Sax
Tristan Baker - Laptop/MIDI Guitar/ Voice

Australian Hottie Sahra sings to the world!
SAHRA IS BLUE PIE'S TOP SELLING DIGITAL ARTIST. Boogie Oogie is now selling well in the USA and the UK.
Sahra
From a small country town north of Sydney, Australia, Sahra was introduced to the world of entertainment at an early age. Even as a child, Sahra was convinced that performing would be her life. Since then she has journeyed far.
Singing alongside Australian acts such as Vanessa Amorossi and Richard Clapton and touring with bands throughout Australia and performing both as a singer and actress on television, Sahra now brings to you, her debut album, GIRL PARTS .
Sahra and Blue Pie Director, Damien Reilly, first met over 8 years ago in 1996 and they have remained friends ever since. The duo began writing in 1997 and put together their first song " One Sweet Day " with Producer, Phil Munro. Since that time, Sahra , Damien and Phil set out to write a solid body of songs that would be timeless and that would be true to Sahra's vocal ability.
The first single to be released is a remake of the 1978 R&B number one hit ' Boogie Oogie Oogie " by " A Taste of Honey ". The songs on GIRL PARTS began with Damien playing his guitar and Sahra adding the melody and lyrics. It has since grown into a writing trio combining the talents of Phil as Producer, arranger and songwriter.
Sahra's angelic voice, coupled with her ability to take you away to the true essence of the songs that she sings makes this album very unique. She has that special magic that stars possess and she truly shines on her own.
GIRL PARTS is an intensely personal and emotive album with a number of songs being recorded in just one take. You can feel and hear her joy, her laughter, her sorrow and her tears in the lyrics. GIRL PARTS is all the parts of a girl called Sahra .
Sahra's star has only just begun to shine .please visit the shop to get all your digital content from Sahra.

Revolutionary Beethoven piano duet rediscovered after 115 years!!!
From Yahoo News:
NEW YORK (AFP) - A handwritten, working manuscript of one of Beethoven's most revolutionary works had been rediscovered after 115 years by a librarian in Pennsylvania, triggering fevered excitement among music historians.
Sotheby's auction house, which will offer "Grosse Fuge" for sale in London in December, said Thursday that the 80-page score was "the longest and most important manuscript to have appeared on the market in living memory."
Sotheby's experts have put an estimate on the lot of between 1.7 million and 2.6 million dollars.
"This is an amazing find," said Stephen Roe, Head of Sotheby's Manuscript Department.
"The manuscript was only known from a brief description in a catalogue in 1890 and it has never before been seen or described by Beethoven scholars," Roe said.
"Its rediscovery will allow a complete reassessment of this extraordinary music," he added.
The manuscript was uncovered in July by Heather Carbo, a librarian who was nearing the end of a huge inventory project in the archives of a theological seminary in the suburbs of Philadelphia.
Carbo found the score in the very last cabinet she inspected in the basement of the library.
"It was just sitting on that shelf. I was in a state of shock," Carbo told the New York Times.
Written in brown and black ink, sometimes over pencil and with later annotations in red crayon, the manuscript shows the extent of Beethoven's working and reworking with some corrections so deep that the paper is rubbed right through.
"The passion and struggle of Beethoven's working can be seen graphically," Sotheby's said, highlighting how the notes were written larger as the music intensified.
"What this document gives us is rare insight into the imponderable process of decision making by which this most complex of quartet movements is made over into a work for piano four-hands," said Richard Kramer, a musicologist at the University of New York.
Among Beethoven's last works from the period when he was deaf, "Grosse Fuge" was originally composed as the finale for a string quartet. The rediscovered manuscript is a transcribed version of the same piece for a piano duet.
The manuscript was last seen at an 1890 auction in Berlin. The buyer was believed to have been William Howard Doane, a Cincinnati, Ohio, industrialist who loved composing hymns.

A little bit of background on world music star Tommee
Tommee - The Soul and Conscience of World Music!
TommeeMusic.com
Tommee was born in the heart of the jungle, in a village called Bima on Sumbawa Island, which lies on the eastern side of the Indonesian archipelago. His musical journey began in his mother's kitchen, with an orchestra of instruments including pots, pans, plates and buckets.
At the age of twelve, Tommee's rhythm and timing was recognized by one of his school teachers who introduced him to a drum kit. This inspired the beginnings of Tommee's musical journey, which has seen him master so many string and percussion instruments including the Guitar, Piano, and traditional instruments such as the Kecapi, Gambo and Kenong.
Twenty years ago, Tommee arrived in Australia to share his stories, spread his sounds, and continue his musical journey. Arriving in Sydney, Tommee began playing keyboards with 'Kalabash', a mainstay of the African-Caribbean music scene. This provided Tommee the opportunity to tour extensively throughout Australia playing major venues and festivals, and supporting the likes of The Wailers, Jimmy Cliff, Ziggy Marley, Steel Pulse, Paul Simon and UB40. Tommee has since spent time working on his original compositions with the Guitar and Kecapi. With the Kecapi, he has collaborated and performed as a special guest with Bob Brozman and Harry Manx.
Growing up in a world that provided so many different cultures, languages and stories has given Tommee a very unique understanding and appreciation of art and music. "I have always been fascinated with language," says Tommee. "I speak five different native dialects within Indonesia, and English. It's only natural that I wish to include all of these languages into my songs.

Major Rock Bands to perform at Australian music festivals
Hye kids, shake it loose together, the spotlight's hitting something that's been known to warm the weather ...
Get yer ya ya's out, rock stars galore are on their way down under, including rock musicians and major bands such as Green Day, Foo Fighters, The Strokes, the Finn brother brothers, the Gallagher brothers ...
Are you ready to ROCK? !!!
By KATHY McCABE of Australia's Daily Telegraph
New York City rock band The Strokes revealed yesterday they will join a heavyweight roster of international stars for the crowded Australian summer concert season.
Frontman Julian Casablancas told The Saturday Daily Telegraph the band will launch their much-anticipated third album with a "pub" gig in Sydney next month.
The band have enjoyed popularity here since their 2001 debut album, Is This It, and were keen to let their Australian fans be among the first to hear the new songs, which will not be officially released until January.
The first single, Juicebox, was leaked on the internet two months before its release because of intense international interest in the band's new direction.
While they start their world tour with huge stadium concerts in South America later this month, Casablancas said their Australian showcases would be a lot more low key.
"I think we are going to be playing a small bar. It's all still being worked out," he said.
Australian music fans are spoilt for choice in the next six months, with local and international acts hitting the road.
Annual festivals, including Homebake, are selling out in record time.
This year's Homebake is headlined by Neil and Tim Finn and is expected to feature a star-studded line-up of guest artists including Oasis' Gallagher brothers and Split Enz.
American supergroup Foo Fighters and Green Day will both play to more than 30,000 fans at the Sydney SuperDome and the Sydney Cricket Ground respectively in December.
