I hope the New Year has gotten off to a great start for all of you! Mine sure has! I'm off to Tamworth in a few days, for the gigantic annual Golden Guitar Festival. I'm so excited. Apart from this, I've got some exciting news to share with all of you. First, my song "Sounds Good To Me" was chosen to be included on the current Sounds Like Cafe Vol. 9 compilation. The CD is currently being played in more than 1000 cafes and coffee shops around Australia, so if you happen to hear "Sounds Good To Me" while you're sippin' java at your local hangout, please let the staff know how much you LOVE the tune! (This will push me up the Sounds Like Cafe monthly chart! I have ulterior motives for just about everything...! Just kidding.)
Hurricane Healing
I am very honored to have my song "Alive And Kickin'" included on the upcoming Hurricane Healing Vol. 3 compilation. Hurricane Healing is basically a digital download store that donates 50 cents on every dollar to the Salvation Army in the areas badly affected by last year's hurricanes. I'm so glad to have found a way to help out a little, and so can you, by purchasing music off the Hurricane Healing compilation albums. There are plenty of great artists who are donating their music to their project, like Eric Bibb, Janice Marie and James Blundell, just to mention a few.
"Alive And Kickin'" is in the Top 20 on the Indie World Country Chart! And climbing! Yay!
And yes, the new cd is coming. The process has been delayed a little, but a new single will be ready for radio release very soon, I promise. Please check back soon!
